@Jessica,

I just read this and wished i had your phone number.  If you dont mind, please send me your phone number so i can give you a call.

Everyone will you join me in prayer.

Father God in the name of your Son Jesus, God today we praise you and we honor you because you are God, you are worthy and there is nothing that you cannot do.  God we worship your name, we adore your name and we are here to be used by you Lord.

Father i place Jessica before you Lord and i pray that you give her strength where she is weak, i pray that you hold her in your arms like only you can.  Father i pray that you take hold of her mind and let her know that she is only carrying a portion of your cross and even with that little portion you will help her carry it.

God your word said you have given us a SOUND mind, and today i speak that into Jessica's being.  I pray that you will reassure her of your promises and that she will look to you because from you she will receive help.

Remember her family, heal them in every way possible.  Heal those emotional wounds that are open, heal the physical wounds God and take them all to the cross where they can find you.

In your name i pray Lord.

Amen.

@Jessica, allow God to be in control.  The first thing i would suggest that you do is to find someone spiritual to talk to.  No i dont mean a friend, but someone with experience in this matter.  Then i want you to seek closure where your brother is concerned.  He is dead, i think you know this.  So do not allow the trick of the enemy to mess with your mind, to convince you that he is somewhere and will be home.  That is not healthy for you.  God knows what He is doing, and He was ready to take your brother, show God that you trust HIM, and you believe that He knew what He was doing when he allowed the accident to take his life.  Show God that you TRUST HIM.

If you need to talk, leave me a voicemail at 832-550-2788 and i will give you a call.

Chin up love.

Fee!

PS: Yes you can!!!! Will you?

The following is unusally long.  Although, I believe quite necessary.  Please consider the Scripture citations in your own copy of the Bible.

Jessica...I do not believe we have ever spoken.  I just noticed your post. To some degree, I can 'feel' your anguish, your pain.  I, too, recently lost a very close family member to death.  Jessica, I know the grief that the enemy death causes.  But, I want to share with you what it is that is enabling me to be joyous...even at a time when this tradegy has struck our family.

I think we grieve so much at the loss of a loved one in death because death is not a 'normal' occurence.  I mean, death was not part of God's original purpose for mankind!  God told man (Adam) that he would die only when and if Adam disobeyed God.  So, if Adam had remained faithful to God, he WOULD NOT HAVE DIED, nor would we, his offspring, be dying today.  The only reason we die is because of the sin produced by Adam (Romans 5:12; Romans 6:23). Why is that important to know?  It is very important to know because it means that since death was not part of God's original purpose for mankind, that death will eventually be removed.  We know that that is true because God's will will certainly be done--right here on earth, as He purposed! (Matthew 6:9,10; Psalm 37:11,29).

Through the ransom sacrifice of Jesus Christ, God has taken steps to correct and defeat this age-old enemy, death!  By placing faith and by exercising faith in that sacrifice, we come to realize that even death itself cannot stop the accomplishment of God's will.  He has purposed to undo the stinging effect of death through the resurrection spoken of in Scripture.  This 'bringing back to life' will serve to reunite loved ones who you, I , and numerouis others have lost in death.  That is a heartwarming thought, is it not?  Do a little Bible reading to be convinced of this, please.  Jesus was himself resurrected, or brought back to life by his Father.  And, due to that fact, those who exercise faith in Jesus are not hopeless when losing loved ones in death.  Notice that thought at 1 Thessalonians 4:13,14.  That portion of Scripture says that when a death has taken place, those who display faith do not sorrow as do those without faith.  It goes on to say that if we believe that Christ was raised, then we ought to be convinced that God will do the same for the faithful.  Please read the verses?

Also, see John 5:28,29.  There, Jesus speaks of those in God's memory receiving a resurrection.

Please read Acts 24:15.  The apostle Paul (under inspiration) expressses hope in this wonderful future act of God too--the resurrection of the dead.  Job even prayed to be put out of his misery by death.  He asked God to let him die..BUT TO REMEMBER HIM AND TO RESURRECT HIM (Job 14:13,14).  The men (and women) of old, those who lived before Jesus came to earth also held fast to this hope (Hebrews 11:17-19).  In fact, there are 9 ( I think) resurrections recorded in Scripture.  Do you have an idea why they are saved in Scripture for us?  Please read Romans 15:4.  It is just what you and I need at this time.  Take a look at the verse.

Jessica, how do you think Jesus and his Father, Jehovah really feel about death?  We can find out.  Open your Bible to Luke, chapter 7, please.  See verses 11 to 17.  Jesus performs a resuurection here.  But, did he do it out of a sense of duty--like he was forced to reurrect this person?  For a clue to how Jesus feels towards death, and hoiw he is moved by it, takew particular note of verse 13.    Remember, too, that Jesus showed emotion when about to resurrect his friend, Lazarus (John 11:33-35).  It is comforting to know that God and Jesus also view death as an enemy, isn't it?  Well, those 9 resurrections recorded in Scripture show us that with God's spirit, that death is not an unbeatable enemy!!!

Jessica, knowing what the Bible says about death and the future resurrection(and, there is much more) has helped me to cope with my very recent loss.  This is my prayer and sincerest wish for you and for me and for millions of others who experience the effects of death's sting...that we draw close to God in prayer, and that we allow the Bible's promises to sustain us (Psalm 55:22).

@Jessica,
                Please accept my belated condolences on the deaths in your family It is better late than never and I do this because it is still on the unanswered posts column. It's been two years and I hope you've now gotten over it, but let me know if you're still hearing voices from your deceased brother and how you mum is also faring.
                Blessed are the dead in Christ for they will rise again in the resurrection.
